On this day I leave it up to God

This writer has never professed to be an expert on prophecy, Catholic mystics or apparitions. In fact, I find much of it to be near idolatrous. Take for example the idea of "refuges." Is this not Darbyist Rapture heresy? When the "born-again" are not taken up to the sky by magic and are left here with the rest of us to endure the Tribulation, what will remain of their faith? When the magic private revelation and Medjugorge angels do not appear to lead us to some rural paradise, what remains of the faith of those not lead, but who supposedly lived, at least in their minds, a proper Catholic life? To many, private revelation has become idolatry. We are to observe and note the seasons but not follow every Gnostic which comes along.

So it is with Fatima. Since today's prayer actually mentions Russia, will the Fatimites say it was done properly? If nothing suddenly miraculous happens and the situation worsens will they say, it was not done properly and start all over again? Some argue it won't "take" because Bergoglio is not the Pope.

Not being so gifted to receive messages directly or having had an angel appear unto me, sorry if I just don't buy any of this anymore. I will remain just a simple Catholic accepting that I am not gifted with being a Gnostic. As for me and my house, we will just carry on going to Mass and the Sacraments, trying to pray more and being faithful. I'll leave idolatry up to those special Gnostics and their own version of mass formation psychosis.

I wrote a week ago of the wisdom of Holy Gamaliel. I will stand by his advice.

In the meantime, for Our Lady on Her day, the greatest of all the settings:

Pope Francis to Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

 From Vatican News:

Pope to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to Immaculate Heart of Mary

The consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Pope Francis will take place during the Celebration of Penance on 25 March in St Peter's Basilica.

By Vatican News

Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday, 25 March, during the Celebration of Penance that he will preside over at 5pm in St Peter's Basilica.

The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, said in a statement: “The same act, on the same day, will be performed in Fatima by Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, papal almoner,” who is being sent there by the Pope.

The day of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord was chosen for the consecration.

Martyrdom of the good

In the apparition of 13 July 1917, in Fatima, Our Lady had asked for the consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart, stating that if this request were not granted, Russia would spread "its errors throughout the world, promoting wars and persecution of the Church.”

“The good," she added, "will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be destroyed."

Consecrations of Russia to Mary

After the Fatima apparitions, there were various acts of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Pope Pius XII, on 31 October 1942, consecrated the whole world, and on 7 July 1952 he consecrated the peoples of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the Apostolic Letter Sacro vergente anno:

“Just as a few years ago we consecrated the whole world to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mother of God, so now, in a most special way, we consecrate all the peoples of Russia to the same Immaculate Heart. - Pope Pius XII”

On 21 November 1964, Pope St Paul VI renewed the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart in the presence of the Fathers of the Second Vatican Council.

Pope St. John Paul II composed a prayer for what he called an 'Act of Entrustment' to be celebrated in the Basilica of St Mary Major on 7 June 1981, the Solemnity of Pentecost.

In June 2000, the Holy See revealed the third part of the secret of Fatima.

At the time, the then-Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, pointed out that Sister Lucia, in a letter of 1989, had personally confirmed that this solemn and universal act of consecration corresponded to what Our Lady wanted: "Yes, it was done," wrote the visionary, "just as Our Lady had asked, on 25 March 1984".
Further:

BREAKING NEWS! Francis Says He Will Consecrate Russia… to the Immaculate Heart. | The Fatima Center is the headline at The Fatima Centre. I am certainly no expert and I try to keep these things simple, so here is my take.

1.     All of this is in the realm of private revelation, one need not believe it. Revelation ended with St. John. At the same time, the Church has clearly determined that certain private revelations are worthy of belief including Our Lady's apparitions at La Salette, Lourdes and Fatima and lesser-known but equally important ones such as Quito, Akita and Kibeho amongst others. If we have churches and schools and feast days to St. Bernadette and Our Lady of Fatima, then clearly, there is something to this. We can choose not to believe it, but we cannot choose to mock it!

2.    If this is true and if Our Lady asked for Russia to be consecrated to her Immaculate Heart, we need to ask the question: Was this done? It has also been said that in order to be valid it must be done at the same time throughout the world by every bishop in union with the Pope.  If this were true, then why did none of the Popes that undertook some kind of "consecration," Pius XII, Paul VI and John Paul II, command it? It would take a Papal Bull with the pain of excommunication for disobedience to enforce it because if one bishop did not comply, it would be invalid. Now, I would ask this, would Our Lady attach such conditions? Conditions that would be so minute as to make it invalid? Conditions that would cause so much schism?

3.    If it were done according to the experts, why would it need to be done again? Clearly, it was not done in 1942 by Pius XII in the manner allegedly requested by Our Lady or the results would have been obvious - the Second World War would have ended in 1942, not 1945, the spread of communism would have been stopped and Eastern Europe would never have been under the Warsaw Pact, the takeover by Mao in China which took place seven years later, would also not have occurred. Presumably, there would have been no nuclear attack on Japan because peace would have reigned in 1942 and broken out everywhere. The Korean War would not have been. Nor would Vietnam. Cuba would not be communist.

4.    Paul VI "renewed" it. Yet, it was still not done as we saw communism topple Vietnam, El Salvador, Nicaragua and countries throughout the world, particularly in Asia and Africa and more recently, Venezuela.

5.    Russia continued to spread its "errors," and we, in the Christian West have adopted cultural Marxism, radical atheism, statism and globalism. We have accepted as our own, Russia's errors. Clearly, either it was not done, or the whole matter was a fraud from the beginning.

6.    John Paul II attempted it but did not do it fully. Many believe it was accepted because Lucia said so. Yet, we can ask without conspiracy theories, was this the same Lucia? The pictures seem to defy it. How can "heaven" have accepted it, as she said It did if it did not contain the original requirements which she said were necessary in the first place. Was she wrong in 1929 or when she said she wasn't? When did Our Lady change her mind?

7.    Some say that the fall of the Berlin Wall and the other factors of the early 1990's is evidence that John Paul II did it. Even the Ukrainian Archbishop in the article above thinks it was done. Archbishop Mokrzycki told CNA that:
“Our Lady of Fatima in 1917 said that the consecration would be followed by a time of peace. That time of peace is over now, so we need to repeat the act of consecration of Russia and Ukraine.”
Peace? What peace? There has been no peace since the Consecration of the World by John Paul II. Frankly, this is a myopic, Euro-centric view of peace. From the period after 1981, I count 91 wars and the deaths of 4,559,652 people not including the current Ukraine-Russian conflict. This, is peace? What has Mokrzycki been using as incense? If we add to this the war on the unborn, the war on the poor, the war on morality, it is quite clear that there is no peace, there has been no peace. God is God of all nations, not just European! If the Consecration was done, then there would have been no war in Rwanda, Yemen, the Falklands, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Ethiopia, Chechnya, the infamous Balkans. Are we seeing more clearly, now?

Let us be clear. No Pope has done it. Or, it is all a fraud. It is really just that simple.

Now, some believe that Francis is not Pope, that the Pope remains Benedict XVI and that any consecration by Francis without Benedict XVI being there to do it, would be invalid. We won't debate that here. You, dear reader, already know the arguments but suffice to say, there are powerful arguments for both sides on whether Benedict remains Pope. My own view is this. I don't know. I cannot know for sure. The Law says Jorge Bergoglio is Pope, the priests of Rome accept him as their bishop and the Bishop of Rome is Pope. Keep it simple. God will and is handling the details. We can only know what we can know. Therefore, we must assume the good and it is this. Francis is Pope, he intends to consecrate Russia and Ukraine (no debate on this not just being Russia, Ukraine was Russia in 1917 and 1929 and thereafter). We must be in union on this. Why? Let me quote the great Gamaliel in Acts 5: 38-39
“And now, therefore, I say to you, refrain from these men, and let them alone; for if this council or this work be of men, it will come to nought; But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God. And they consented to him.”
I will not argue with Pope Francis on this. I will not argue with God.

Only one way out of this mess

The Church is in its gravest crisis since the Arian heresy. I would argue that the very Arian heresy is back again with us today. It is simply inconceivable that the leaders of the Church today actually believe that Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, is God. If they truly believed it, they would not have promulgated Amoris Laetitia nor would homosexualists such as James Martin, S.J., and countless others, be allowed to spread their poisonous bile by their Superiors.

Earlier today, the evil leaders of the northern part of the Korean peninsula explodes an underground test of a hydrogen bomb five times more powerful than what was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki; the earthquake which followed was nearly 6.3 on the Richter Scale. People suffer losses of life, homes, jobs and normalcy in Texas, and the media is worried about stiletto heals. We are truly deluded if we think we can get out of this on our own.

Louis Verrecchio has your Sunday reading.

Raymond Cardinal Burke on Our Lady of Fatima

“In fact, the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary did not take place, as she requested.”
“I now return to the third part of the Secret or Message of Fatima. Without entering into a discussion regarding whether the third part of the Secret has been fully revealed, it seems clear from the most respected studies of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, that it has to do with the diabolical forces unleashed upon the world in our time and entering into the very life of the Church which lead souls away from the truth of the faith and, therefore, from the Divine Love flowing from the glorious pierced Heart of Jesus.”

TORONTO! Our Lady of Fatima Latin Mass

Tomorrow, May 13 is the 100th anniversary of the appearance of the Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Mother of God at Fatima, Portugal. In the traditional calendar, May 13 is the Feast (3rd class) of St. Robert Bellarmine.  In the new calendar for the Novus Ordo Missae, it is the "Optional Memorial" of Our Lady of Fatima. An "Optional Memorial" is just that, the priest can choose the text for Our Lady of Fatima or the Ferial. The traditional calendar was never updated liturgically to recognise the appearance of Our Lady at Fatima.

In the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, Pope Benedict XVI made possible the updating of the traditional Mass calendar of 1961 to include more current feasts and saints. Recently, the Pontifical Council Ecclesia Dei in the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith decreed that Our Lady of Fatima could be celebrated on May 13 in the traditional Mass. How appropriate then that the first change should be for Our Lady and in 2017, to recognise the 100th anniversary of her appearance at Fatima.

The text of the Mass is the Votive Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (August 22) with the double Alleluia for Paschaltide. The feast of St. Robert Bellarmine will be commemorated, meaning the Collect, Secret and Postcommunion will be doubled to include those from both Masses.

Una Voce Toronto is very grateful to the pastor and parish of St. Mary's Polish Roman Catholic Church for the opportunity to celebrate this great day.

We ask you to be generous at the collection as the funds will be used by the parish for sanctuary renovations.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

New Jesuit Superior General - a Marxist Revolutionary. Surely, you weren't surprised ...

Image result for Father Arturo Sosa Abascal

Rorate has the exclusive insight from one who knows him.

This man who has worked very hard all his life to re-interpret Christianity from a Marxist viewpoint, who has done not only “theoretical” work, but direct Revolutionary work, is the one that the Jesuits now have elected as their General. Perhaps the growing revolutionary moment in Colombia, checked by the population itself in the referendum that voted down Marxist demands that would have been inserted in their own Constitution -- and for which their president won, unsurprisingly, the Nobel Peace Prize), demands that. But one still remains mystified: what is it that the revolutionary are after, still? In Venezuela they have systematically destroyed the productive infrastructure, agriculture, industry, public administration, the courts, hospitals, schools, even the energy industry that supports the country; they have killed thousands of people, they have the country at the edge of disastrous famine never before seen in such scale in the Americas. What is it that they are after? Probably the only explanation is the utter destruction of God’s world in order to build “a New World” in history. May God protect us from the revolutionary underworld. May God convert the hearts and open the eyes of his people. And, above all, may Christ protect His Church.

Let us see in this the work of God. He is permitting this in order to speed His rescue. The election of Bergoglio may have been a diabolical act, but a diabolical act permitted by God in order to bring about true renewal which can only be through true restoration.

Something evil is coming our way. Out of it, we will, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ, triumph because He already has.

Keep the faith and get ready; 2017 beckons, indeed, it is already here.

In the end ..

Basta! Basta! - what more do you want?" says Father Thomas J. Rosica, CSB

Well, well, well; is this a case of thou dost protest too much?

Do you think a few bloggers got under the skin of someone really, really, really high-up in the Vatican that they would send out the big guns?

"What more do you want," he says.

You there, yes you; in that tin-foiled hat.

Yes, you, I mean you.

Don't you know that I am the all-powerful Spox!

What more does one want?

Only the truth, from the Church.

Only the truth.

Benedict XVI denies professor's claim - states that all Fatima secrets have been released

It is reported that the Emeritus Pope, Benedict XVI, has issued a statement through the Vatican Communications Office on the matter of the Fatima secrets. Last week on this blog, we reported on a story from One Peter 5, that a friend of then Cardinal Ratzinger, Fr. Dollinger, disclosed certain information that the full Secret was not released. This is the same person who provided this information a few years ago to Father Paul Kramer and published by the Fatima Center.

Perhaps prudence has kept the Popes from releasing all the Secret. Perhaps we do not need to know what it contains, some say; but what we must have is faithfulness to the message. Yet, Our Lady did ask for it to be released by 1960, so who are any of us to question it. Unless of course, she did not and, therefore, Sister Lucia must have been delusional. Are we to believe she was? because that is the implication. She was delusional. Well then, that begs a few questions. Why do we have churches, schools, statues of and a feast day for Our Lady of Fatima. It makes no sense. Why does the Church accept that Our Lady actually did appear at Fatima but on the rest, the children, Lucy specifically, were wrong, deluded and the Church has committed a great fraud. Why don't they just admit it?

What we also must know, is this; why has the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary not been done. The fact is, it has not been done and notwithstanding comments that it has been done, you cannot point to its event in history. Not Pius XII, not John Paul II. They did not do it. It was never done and I will repeat, it cannot be pointed to in history.

The fact is, Fatima happened and it can be pointed to in history. Our Lady appeared, the sun danced, people were cured. Are we to believe that everything after that was made up? Why then did popes and prelates continue to meet with Sister Lucy. it cannot be because she was delusional. It makes no sense.

Now, back to Papa Ratzinger's alleged statement. I write alleged because it is from the Vatican Communications Office. Truly, are we to believe these people but not the old professor? We know some who work and advise there, correct? They are media experts and engage in lawsuits and internet screeds when called out. It was also a harsh comment not in keeping with Ratzinger's style and temperament. Let the comment come directly from him or written by him and delivered by his secretary or on video.

Quite frankly, I don't believe it.

Are we to believe that there is no comment on Amoris Laetitia, no comment on the Synods, no comment on anything, but on this, the Emeritus Pope comments?

Bovine excrement! These Vatican manipulators have no credibility. If anything, we must now crank it up a notch.

Something more.

Their response is also astounding. For years, they ignored the Fatima Center and the late Father Nicholas Gruner. But blogs, they respond to.

Blogs and Fatima must clearly disturb these people.

Fatima secret not all released - alleged by a friend of Pope Benedict XVI - Secret warned of "a bad Council and a bad Mass"

Maike Hickson  has a blockbuster story today. She spoke personally to Father Ingo Dollinger a close personal friend of Joseph Ratzinger and a former seminary rector in Brazil.
"Not long after the June 2000 publication of the Third Secret of Fatima by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger told Fr. Dollinger during an in-person conversation that there is still a part of the Third Secret that they have not published! “There is more than what we published,” Ratzinger said. He also told Dollinger that the published part of the Secret is authentic and that the unpublished part of the Secret speaks about “a bad council and a bad Mass” that was to come in the near future."
Why did Father Dollinger give this interview today? This was not the first time that he revealed this information as you will read shortly. What does he know about the current state of affairs and Pope Benedict XVI? Does he feel he is soon to die and wants to clear his conscience? Is he, by doing this, attempting to force what can be done in the blogosphere to raise this matter and focus on it demanding action once and for all?

The late Father Nicholas Gruner spent his life on matters pertaining to Fatima, the Third Secret and the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Many others have also. Books have been written about it and most, with any knowledge of the issues around Fatima, do not believe the truth has been fully released. Even Pope Benedict alluded to this as Hickson states in her article.

Yet, this is not the first time Father Dollinger has spoken out on these matters.

“…Now after this took place, the German theologian who I am referring to went back to the country in South America where he was Rector of a seminary and he explained to a young priest what Cardinal Ratzinger had related to him. And precisely when he related that Our Lady warned against changing the Mass and there would be an evil Council in the Church, the both of them saw a plume of smoke coming up from the floor. Now it was a marble floor. This could not be anything of a natural phenomenon. Both the young priest and the old German Rector were so impressed they drew up a dossier and sent it to Cardinal Ratzinger.”

The time has come!

The Pope must tell the Catholic faithful the truth.

Has the Third Secret of Fatima been released in its fullness?

Did Heaven, through Our Lady, warn John XXIII about the Council and changing the Mass?

Is this the reason that the full Secret was not then and has not now been released? ("It is not for our time," John XXIII was alleged to have said)

Why did Pope Francis visit Archbishop Loris Capovilla, the 90 plus year-old former Secretary to John XXIII who also present at the opening of the Secret. Why was he made a Cardinal at the last consistory?

If this is true; if this is what the Third Secret of Fatima contained, the implications are catastrophic for the Church. It confirms that the Second Vatican Council and the Novus Ordo Missae was a fraud and a direct attack on the Holy Catholic Church straight out of Hell. It calls into question much of what has been done over the last fifty years! It calls into question the canonisations and beatifications of three Popes!

If Dollinger's claims are legitimate, it explains many things including the renouncement of the Office of Peter by Joseph Ratzinger. Was he planning on going further down the road of truth and disclosure? Was he trying to repair the damage, as Hickson surmises, with Summorum Pontificum and the lifting of the excommunications on the SSPX bishops and more that we are unaware of?  Was he threatened in some way and forced to resign the papacy? Was he driven from Office?

It's time for answers. The salvation of souls is at stake.

If the Pope, Cardinals and Bishops of the Church do not deal with this, Our Lord Jesus Christ will and it won't be a Church of Nice.

The prophetic words of Blessed Pius XII

A worthy ponder:

"I am worried by the Blessed Virgin's messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul. ... I hear all around me innovators who wish to dismantle the Sacred Chapel, destroy  the universal flame of the Church, reject Her ornaments and make Her feel remorse for Her historical past.
"A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God. In our churches, Christians will search in vain for the red lamp where God awaits them. Like Mary Magdalene, weeping before the empty tomb, they will ask, "Where have they taken him?"
